for solo founders

Marketing for a solo B2B SaaS founder

You built the product and you answer support, so marketing is the thing that slides to next week: there is always something else, and nobody told you where to start. marketinque keeps the plan, names the one next step, drafts it, and holds everything until you approve it. What you give up is the deciding and the drafting, never the sending.

The marketinque launch plan: six phases from ship-ready to $1M ARR, filtered by what you are building
The launch plan: 361 steps in six phases, filtered to what you are building. Every step says how long it takes and what it unlocks.

Where should a solo founder start with marketing?

Not with a channel. The first marketing work is the part every channel spends against: one sentence that says who the product is for and what it replaces, a homepage that says it in the first hundred words, and a way to see who arrives and what they do. Phase one of the free launch plan is exactly that list, and most of it takes under an hour a step.

Then pick one place your first users already are and show up there every week, before adding a second. Not knowing which place is where most founders stall; the strategy guide walks the order that settles it: the customer, a revenue target worked backward, measurement, and only then channels. If you are not the founder but the only marketer, the version for a team of one is closer to your week.

How does marketinque decide what you do next?

It keeps a launch plan of 361 steps with prerequisites, so it only ever offers steps that are unlocked, and it reads your site to tick the ones already true: the sitemap, the schema, the privacy page, the analytics tag. What it cannot see stays open until you say so, or until it can check the evidence.

Each cycle then works the plan’s next unlocked steps toward the project’s goal, drafts for at most three channels, and skips any channel that already has a draft from the last day. Every drafted idea carries the sources it drew on, so you can check a claim before you approve it. How it works walks the loop end to end.

What does it cost a solo founder?

Nothing, for now, and no card is asked for. The drafting runs in your own Claude Code, on the subscription you already pay for, or on your own Anthropic or Kimi key, so marketinque never bills you for the writing. Pricing has the detail; the comparison of AI marketing tools for startups ranks what the paid alternatives charge, and the alternatives pages take them one at a time.

the objection

What if you have no time for marketing at all?

Then no tool fixes it, and this one does not pretend to. What it takes off you is the deciding and the drafting: each step says how long it takes, most take under an hour, and the draft is waiting when you get to it. What it leaves you is reading and approving, which is the part that should stay yours.

If you already work in Claude Code, you do not open a new app at all. The MCP server puts the plan and the 958-place directory index in the terminal you are already in, free and with no account.

Who is this not for?

  • Founders before product-market fit. There is nothing to say yet, and a plan this long is a very organised way to avoid talking to customers; if you are still choosing what to build, how to find startup ideas is the better page.
  • Anyone who wants every post on autopilot from day one. Autonomy here is granted per action, running on its own is earned, and spend always asks.
  • Consumer and ecommerce brands whose growth is paid-social volume, where an approval queue is friction exactly where the loop needs speed.

Common questions

What should a SaaS founder do for marketing first?

Write down who the product is for and what it replaces, make the homepage say it in the first hundred words, and set up a way to see who arrives. Then pick one place your first users already are and show up there every week before adding a second.

Can I use it without signing up?

Yes. The 361-step launch plan and the 958-row backlink directory are free on the site with no signup, and the MCP server gives Claude Code both as tools with no account. A project, with the console, the idea queue and the nightly checks, opens by waitlist.

Does it post on my LinkedIn?

No. It drafts the post and you publish it; marketinque has no LinkedIn connection today. It posts directly only to Bluesky, dev.to, your own Discord and your consented email list, and only after you approve.

What if I have no audience yet?

Start with the work that does not need one. 95 directories give a free, dofollow backlink, and the plan orders them; comparison pages and a clear homepage pay off before anyone follows you.
